A Snowy Hood Elopement
“The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.” -JRR Tolkein
Mount Hood National Forest sits south of the strikingly beautiful Columbia River Gorge across more than 60 miles of forested mountains, lakes, and streams. With over a million acres of recreation land and 170 developed recreation sites, this vast forested public lands is one of the many gems just over an hour outside of Portland.
Shannon + Dave travelled from California to get married on Pacific Northwest’s quintessential mountainside, Mount Hood. This sweet couple has made the trek to the Portland area several times and quickly fell in love with the landscapes of the Mount Hood National Forest. They knew that they would return someday, to get married here, and to make their dreams a reality. On the morning of their elopement, before their “I dos”, they spent their morning enjoying a run at Trillium Lake, one of my favorite lakes in the area. Snow dawned the mountain for their nuptials, a rarity for mid Fall. A winter wonderland scenery made this mid-Fall elopement full of memorable moments. Congrats Shannon + Dave!
